Just finished making this baby python (shaped, sanded and painted branch)

This shadow only happened once in the kitchen, as the light hit the frying pan lid at exactly the right angle. I never saw it again. I did not mess with the photos, left them just as I took them.

Truffles looking down from Cat Heaven

Few weeks ago Truffles, a feral cat who moved unto my daughter's porch, died suddenly. Before she died, she brought four little kittens to the porch for my daughter to raise. She knew that my daughter would take good care of them, because last year Eva let Truffles stay in her bedroom to have three kittens under her bed.

I selected the branch for its curves, sawed off the nuts and smaller side branches, carved the head and the tail, and sanded the branch.

After the branch was prepared and sanded smooth, I painted it with acrylic paint and sprayed it with clear protective coating.
